Bassetts
at Woodstock, is a restaurant in one of the most scenic locations
imaginable, beside Woodstock Gardens and Arboretum, high up overlooking
the Nore valley and the village of Inistioge in Kilkenny.
But
it's not just the stunning views that are of interest, our restaurant
offers guests an innovative dining experience too. On Saturdays
instead of offering a choice of starters, main courses and desserts
or cheese at dinner, our chef, Emilio Martin Castilla, sends out
a succession of starter-size dishes throughout the evening. Our
guests can then choose which of these dishes they would like to
enjoy.
The
first dish goes out at 7.30pm, with the
others following at 20- to 30-minute intervals.
There is no minimum order and no second
sitting, so you have your table, and your
wonderful view, for the evening.
The
seven savoury courses, which have usually
been served by 10pm, are followed by cheese
and dessert.
The
menu is based on seasonal, local produce, so it changes regularly.
Lunch is served from Wednesday to Saturday
from 12 - 4 and on Sunday from 1 - 5.
A la Carte dinner is served on Wednesday,
Thursday and Friday from 7.30.
The sampling Dinner menu is served on Saturday
from 7.30.
